Since 1956, the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) has been the largest recognized organization representing students of architecture. The AIAS is dedicated to providing unmatched programs, information, and resources on issues critical to architecture. Through advocacy, service and benefits, the AIAS continually meets the needs of its members.

The AIAS is a 501c(3) nonprofit, student-governed organization with over 6,000 architecture and design student members across throughout the world, but predominately at the accredited schools of architecture in North America.

FORUM, our premier event, is the foremost gathering of architecture and design students each year. Students that attend are immersed in issues facing architectural education and practice, develop critical thinking and design skills and network with peers and professionals from across the world.

Our membership represents approximately 30% of the total number of students (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled in architecture and related disciplines. But publications such as Crit, Journal of the AIAS, AIASinfo e-newsletter, the Web site, and our events reach beyond our members as they are shared and accessible by other students, faculty and professionals.
There are many ways to be involved and to be recognized for your support.
