December 29, 2009-January 1, 2010 || Hyatt Regency Minneapolis FORUM is the global gathering of architecture and design students and the annual convention of the American Institute of Architecture Students. The educational event offers students the opportunity to learn about issues facing architectural education and the profession, to meet other students and professionals with common interests, and to interact with today's leading architects, designers and those making a difference in the world through architecture. In addition to the evening keynote presentations, the activities include tours, daily seminars and workshops, the Architecture College + Career Expo and the Beaux Arts Ball on New Year's Eve. The convention has a reputation for offering interesting speakers including rising talents, masters of the profession, and leaders from outside the discipline. Since the 1950's, the event has ushered in new thinking and is considered by former attendees to be a once in a lifetime experience--the highlight of an education and an emerging career. All architecture and design students are invited to attend (membership in the AIAS is not required). Registration and hotel reservations will begin this fall. Complete information is expect to be published this summer. For information on exhbiting and sponsorship, please contact Kevin Mulvaney. |
